PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers men's basketball program has signed guard Muhamed Hasani, a member of the Kosovo senior national team since 2007, to a scholarship agreement.
Coach Fred Hill said Hasani is scheduled to arrive on campus Wednesday.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder from Pristina, Kosovo, was named that country's best under-21 player in 2007.
Now 20, he will be able to play immediately for the Scarlet Knights as a freshman.
Rutgers finished 11-21 last season and 2-16 in the Big East Conference.
The Scarlet Knights begin practice Oct. 16.
