RALEIGH, N.C. -- U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina says several staffers will travel to Kosovo to help train judges, prosecutors and investigators in the war-torn country.
Officials said Thursday that five staff members from U.S. Attorney George E.B. Holding's office will go to Kosovo in staggered departure times beginning Saturday to help Kosovo establish a legal system.
Officials say Kosovo has been assisted through the U.S. Justice Department's Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development Assistance and Training.
The country, a part of the former Yugoslavia and long claimed by Serbia, formally declared its independence on February 17, 2008.
Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, and righteousness spring up with it. I, the LORD have created it. - Isaiah 45:8
