The town of Mitrovica, where Lindsey and I will be living and ministering is probably the most ethnically divided town in Kosovo. In the southern half, an overwhelming majority (90+%) of the over 100,000 citizens are Kosovars (ethnic Albanians) while Serbs make up about the same percentage of the over 20,000 citizens in the northern half. That ethnic division is "physically" kept in place by the most ironic device imaginable. A bridge.

Looking from northern to southern "Mitro" by way of the guarded bridge on the Ibar River.
The walls in the hearts of the people keep them separated from each other, not this bridge. Pray that the love of Jesus Christ will break down the walls of hate and fill ALL hearts with His perfect love. Then, this bridge will be able to be used for its one true purpose. To unite, not divide.
Jesus Christ, tear down these walls!
